I've been looking forward to writing this post, I had so many things to say and thoughts to share, but for some reason I find it hard to get started this time in particular.
It has been nice to have time to focus on my photography this autumn since I feel like I wasn't able to this summer. I've been experimenting a lot and to be honest most of it have failed. It doesn't really matter though, the important thing is that I've been learing new things, what works and what doesn't. The fun part of learning new techniques is that you never now what the end result is going to look like. Most of the time it doesn't even come close to what I had in mind and sometimes it's just mother nature that doesn't provide what I was hoping for. Lesson learned, nature can never be taken for granted. If you're shooting nature, landscape or photography in general you'll need patience, persistency, being in the right place at the right time and of course a bit of luck to get the photos you want. The truly amazing thing about photography is that what ever you photograph is a moment that can never be captured again. If it's leafs that are caught by the wind, or the ripples on a lake, raindrops falling hard, snowflakes slowly melting, the smile of a loved one or the look on someones face when a doctor is telling them they got a incurable disease. It doesn't matter what it is, but if you capture that moment it is yours to keep forever and that photo can never be reproduced. I think that is a fascinating thing about photography.
